Sorry It's been a long time since my last post. I have been working on a new project. I have been recently experiencing the Fruits of Summer. A wide selection of Summer ales are not available due to the obvious season. This allows for the lighter citrus ales to pop up and if the local LCBO. One beer that I have not yet had a chance to enjoy ( but I have been waiting for) is Spearhead Hawaiian Pale Ale. Not light in its color, however it poses a huge question mark , Does a Pineapple brew have a large audience in Ontario ?
When it arrives at the local LCBO I will be there first in line ! So Spearhead when can we see this in LCBO's other than the GTA ?
Looking forward to a glass !!!

Amsterdam 416 Urban Wheat Beer
Today is a perfect winter day. Sunny , crisp winter air, the perfect afternoon for a trip to the hills for a couple of runs before the day ends, snowboarding runs that is. After a day of snowboarding, nothing is better than a cool beer, fully geared up on the patio sitting close to the gas burning fireplace. I had the pleasure of enjoying Amsterdam's 416 Urban Wheat brew this week.
Its a clean crisp beer with citrus hints. Cloudy in its nature this wheat beer is similar to most, however has a stronger taste. Unfiltered and unpasteurized. This beer would be perfect for a roasted chicken , with butter sauteed green beans.
Apparently after reading some other blogs, Labatt might be bringing something similar to the table, lets keep the local Toronto brewery going strong and support the little guy for a change.
